RETURN POLICY

We value our customers and want to give you the very best customer service in the industry.  Please take a moment to read the following instructions very carefully as this will provide you with a better return experience!

The Tactical Direct Return Policy:

All returns for exchanges and/or refunds must occur within 30 days of receipt of merchandise. After 30 days, we cannot accept your return.  If you think about it, 30 days is plenty of time to decide whether you want to keep something or not…   

Tactical Direct does not require a return authorization number but we do need to know why you are returning your item.  Be sure to include a brief letter explaining why you are sending something back to us and what the problem is.  Please don’t say things like “This thing sucks and I want my money back” or “This thing hangs on me like a bag”.  Be specific about your issue.  A little communication goes a long way here.  Remember, we want to make you a happy customer!  

DEFECTIVE MERCHANDISE:
 If you receive an item that is defective, return it to us within 30 days of delivery and we will make it right. If you think something is defective, you might want to give us a call at 480-991-1300.  We occasionally find that what someone thinks is a ‘defect’ is really a ‘technical support’ issue.  It just might save us both time and additional shipping costs.

Otherwise, PLEASE send us a short note telling us why you think an item is defective. 

Once the item has been received and is found to be defective by our Returns Department, a new item will be shipped out to you immediately. You will not be charged a reshipment fee 

EXCHANGES:  Unless we specifically note that an item has free Two-Way Shipping, please include a check or money order in the amount of $7.50 for the shipping and handling fees with your exchange.  If you are returning three or more items, please include an additional $2.50.  If the shipping fees are NOT included with the merchandise being returned for exchange, we will charge the credit card we have on file and process the exchange.   

If you are unsure about sizes, please give us a call, we are happy to help you. 

In order for Tactical Direct to accept an item for exchange it MUST be in brand new condition including the original packaging as clearly stated above. If you return a product that is not in the original condition as when you received it, you will be charged a repackaging fee of up to 20% of the retail value of the product. Items returned in damaged/used condition will be rejected and returned to you. 

RETURN FOR REFUND:
 A refund will be made to you via your credit card account or by Tactical Direct company check for the merchandise amount minus the original shipping and handling fees.  We will make refunds based on how you paid.  If you bought with a credit card, we will refund your credit card.  If you paid via check or money order, we will issue a check for your refund.   

If you had received FREE SHIPPING on your original order, you will be refunded the merchandise amount minus our shipping/handling costs.  Think about it…shipping is FREE only if you BUY something.  A refund confirmation email will be sent to you.
 

PLEASE NOTE:  If you received FREE promotional merchandise associated with your purchase, you MUST send the promotional items back with your return. Like any other item, all promotional items must be returned in original, brand-new condition.   

We give you the cool free stuff when you BUY something, so if you return an item and ‘forget’ to send us the free stuff, we reserve the right to charge your credit card account for the full retail price of the promotional item.  

SHIPPING CHARGES: If you ship it back to us, unless otherwise noted, you pay for all return shipping charges.  If we ship something to you and the package is returned to us because of an undeliverable address, we will contact you for a better address.  We will charge you shipping a second time in this case.  PLEASE make sure you give us your correct address.

 

**THIS IS REALLY IMPORTANT STUFF –  READ THE RETURN CONDITIONS BELOW ** 
 

WE INSPECT EACH AND EVERY PRODUCT THAT HAS BEEN RETURNED. WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES IF ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING HAS OCCURRED: 
 

1.  There is obvious wear & tear on the item.  For example, scratches or dents on any merchandise, tears and holes in garments; scratches on sunglass and/or goggle lenses.  If you have used an item enough to do this kind of damage, you can’t reasonably expect to return them.  

2.  If you have made any size adjustments such as having links removed from watchbands; having laundered any garments, tailored them or altered them from their original condition. 

3.  If we see any obvious dirt, sand, sun or water damage, antiperspirant, makeup, or if the item has obvious stains or if there are odors from cigarettes, perfume, colognes or anything obnoxious, we won’t be able to take it back.  (Don’t ask what we mean by ‘obnoxious’…remember some of the stuff we sell goes into third-world countries and war zones).  

4.  If the original packaging is missing or torn it makes things much more difficult for us and we may deny your return.  Please return items in their original protective packaging.

5.  Similarly, make sure you return things with any warranty paperwork, inserts, attached coupons or instructions pamphlets.  Again, depending on what is missing, we may deny your return or charge a restocking fee. 

6.  We won’t accept returns on any DVD or CD that has been opened or taken out of its plastic wrap.  Come on folks…we’ve heard of DVD and CD rippers too. 

7.  Due to State Health Codes some items are not returnable: underwear, personal hygiene items and socks are not eligible for return.  (Would you want to buy them if they were used by someone else?) 

8.  We cannot accept returns on products containing liquid material.  Items such as pepper spray, gun lubricants and cleaning products are not eligible for return. 

9.  We absolutely do not accept any returns on ammunition.  This is for safety reasons.  Make your ammo selections with care.

If any of the above 9 things have occurred, you can’t reasonably expect us to take things back.  We aren’t Nordstrom folks…if we can’t resell it or return it to the manufacturer if the item is defective, then we can’t sell stuff at such great prices.

For your protection, we recommend using a reputable carrier (FexEx, UPS, US Postal Service, DHL, etc.) to ship and insure your package. We are not responsible in any manner for lost or damaged merchandise that has been shipped to us. Please retain your shipping receipt.  Let us say this again…insurance and delivery receipts are a really good idea when you ship anything to us.  That’s why we use both when we ship stuff to you…

Please be patient.  Returns and exchanges may take up to two weeks to be processed through our Returns Department.  If we can do it sooner you know we will.
